This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected by Group Edge through the Platform, including via the website, WhatsApp communications, and any associated services. By using Group Edge, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.
1. Who We Are
Group Edge is operated by 8 Views Digital Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. For the purposes of Indian data protection law including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Amendment) Act, 2008, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) 8 Views Digital Private Limited is the data fiduciary responsible for your personal data.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide Directly
- •Full name
- •Mobile phone number (used as primary identifier and WhatsApp contact)
- •Email address (where provided)
- •Preferred property location(s) - e.g. Gachibowli, Kokapet, Tellapur
- •Property configuration and budget range
- •Purchase timeline
- •Any additional information shared in WhatsApp conversations or form submissions
2.2 Data Collected Automatically
- •IP address and approximate geolocation (city-level only)
- •Browser type, operating system, and device type
- •Pages visited on the Platform, time on page, and click behaviour
- •Referral source (how you arrived on the Platform e.g. Instagram, Google, WhatsApp link)
- •Session data via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7 - Cookies)
2.3 Data We Receive From Third Parties
- •If you arrive via a social media advertisement (Meta/Instagram, Google), we may receive anonymised campaign attribution data.
- •If a referring User shares your contact via the Platform's group-share feature, we receive your phone number and the name of the referring User.
Group Edge does NOT collect: Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, passport details, bank account numbers, credit/debit card information, or any government-issued ID. We do not collect these at any stage of the group-buying process. All financial due diligence and KYC is handled directly between you and the Developer or your lender.
3. Why We Collect Your Data — Purpose of Processing
We collect and process your personal data only for the following specific, lawful purposes:

4. How We Share Your Personal Data
Group Edge does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes. We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 With Developers
When a Buyer Group is confirmed and a site visit is arranged, we may share your name and phone number with the Developer or their sales team for the purpose of scheduling and conducting the visit. The Developer is informed that you are a Group Edge buyer and is required to treat your information confidentially.
4.2 With Technology & Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers for the technical operation of the Platform, including website hosting, analytics, WhatsApp Business API integration, and email delivery. These providers process your data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements.

4.3 With Right Fit Properties LLP
Group Edge is powered by Right Fit Properties LLP. Anonymised and aggregated property preference data (location, budget range, configuration) may be shared with Right Fit Properties LLP for market research and content purposes. No personally identifiable information (name, phone number, email) is shared with Right Fit Properties LLP for marketing or commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
4.4 Legal & Regulatory Disclosure
We may disclose your personal data to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or courts if required by applicable Indian law, court order, or in response to a lawful government request.
We will never share your personal data with other Buyer Group members. Other members of your group will know only the number of confirmed buyers — not the identity, name, or contact details of any individual member.
5. Data Retention
5.1 We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to deliver the services described in this Policy, or as required by applicable Indian law.
5.2 Specific retention periods:
- •Active buyer registration data: retained for the duration of your active interest in a project, plus 12 months after your last interaction.
- •Closed deal records: retained for 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes.
- •Communications (WhatsApp messages, email): retained for 24 months.
- •Analytics and usage data: retained in anonymised form for up to 36 months.
5.3 You may request deletion of your personal data at any time - see Section 8 (Your Rights).
6. Data Security
6.1 Group Edge implements reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
6.2 Security measures in place include:
- •SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and the Platform.
- •Access controls — only authorised Group Edge personnel with a specific need can access buyer registration data.
- •No storage of payment or financial credentials on Platform systems.
- •Regular security reviews of Platform infrastructure.
6.3 No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute data security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable Indian law.
7. Cookies & Similar Technologies
7.1 Group Edge uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve the Platform experience and understand how users interact with our content.
Types of cookies we use:
- •Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function. Cannot be disabled. (e.g. session management, security tokens)
- •Analytics cookies: Help us understand page visits, user flows, and feature engagement. Provided by Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.
- •Marketing cookies: Used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements on Meta (Instagram/Facebook) and Google. Activated only with your consent.
7.2 On your first visit to the Platform, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You may accept all cookies, accept essential cookies only, or customise your preferences.
7.3 You may withdraw cookie consent or change your preferences at any time through your browser settings or the cookie preference centre on the Platform. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.
8. Your Rights Under Indian Data Protection Law
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable Indian law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by Group Edge:

9. Children's Privacy
The Group Edge Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to Group Edge, please contact us immediately at privacy@groupedge.in and we will delete such data promptly.
10. WhatsApp Communication
10.1 Group Edge uses WhatsApp as its primary communication channel for Campaign updates, Group Price notifications, site visit scheduling, and buyer support.
10.2 By providing your phone number on the Platform, you consent to receiving WhatsApp messages from Group Edge for the purposes listed in Section 3 of this Policy.
10.3 You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying 'STOP' to any Group Edge WhatsApp message or by contacting us at privacy@groupedge.in.
10.4 WhatsApp messages are subject to Meta's privacy policy and terms of service. Group Edge is not responsible for data processing by Meta/WhatsApp outside of Group Edge's control.
10.5 Group Edge will never ask you to share financial credentials, passwords, OTPs, or sensitive financial information over WhatsApp. If you receive such a request purportedly from Group Edge, do not respond and contact us immediately.
11. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Platform may link to Developer websites, RERA portals (tsrera.telangana.gov.in), and other external resources. Group Edge is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
12.1 Group Edge reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. The revised Policy will be posted on the Platform with an updated Effective Date.
12.2 For material changes particularly those affecting how we use or share your personal data we will notify you via WhatsApp or the contact number on file prior to the change taking effect.
12.3 Continued use of the Platform after a change to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
